  27.      And bring thou near unto thee Aaron thy brother, and his sons with him,
  28. from among the children of Israel, that he may minister unto me in the
  29. priest's office, even Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar, Aaron's
  30. sons.  And thou shalt make holy garments for Aaron thy brother, for glory and
  31. for beauty.  And thou shalt speak unto all that are wise-hearted, whom I have
  32. filled with the spirit of wisdom, that they make Aaron's garments to sanctify
  33. him, that he may minister unto me in the priest's office.  And these are the
  34. garments which they shall make: a breastplate, and an ephod, and a robe, and a
  35. coat of checker work, a ^5 mitre, and a girdle: and they shall make holy
  36. garments for Aaron thy brother, and his sons, that he may minister unto me in
  37. the priest's office.  And they shall take the gold, and the blue, and the
  38. purple, and the scarlet, and the fine linen.

  42.      And they shall make the ephod of gold, of blue, and purple, scarlet, and
  43. fine twined linen, the work of the skilful workman.  It shall have two
  44. shoulder-pieces joined to the two ends thereof, that it may be joined
  45. together.  And the skilfully woven band, which is upon it, wherewith to gird
  46. it on, shall be like the work thereof and of the same piece; of gold, of blue,
  47. and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen.  And thou shalt take two ^1
  48. onyx stones, and grave on them the names of the children of Israel: six of
  49. their names on the one stone, and the names of the six that remain on the
  50. other stone, according to their birth.  With the work of an engraver in stone,
  51. like the engravings of a signet, shalt thou engrave the two stones, according
  52. to the names of the children of Israel: thou shalt make them to be ,nclosed in
  53. settings of gold.  And thou shalt put the two stones upon the shoulder-pieces
  54. of the ephod, to be stones of memorial for the children of Israel: and Aaron
  55. shall bear their names before Jehovah upon his two shoulders for a memorial.
  56. And thou shalt make settings of gold, and two chains of pure gold; like cords
  57. shalt thou make them, of wreathen work: and thou shalt put the wreathen chains
  58. on the settings.

  62.      And thou shalt make a breastplate of judgment, the work of the skilful
  63. judgement, the work of the skillful workman; like the work of the ephod thou
  64. shalt make it; of gold, of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined
  65. linen, shalt thou make it.  Four-square it shall be and double; a span shall
  66. be the length thereof, and a span the breadth thereof.  And thou shalt set in
  67. it settings of stones, four rows of stones: a row of ^2 sardius, topaz, and ^3
  68. carbuncle shall be the first row; and the second row an ^4 emerald, a
  69. sapphire, and a ^5 diamond; and the third row a ^6 jacinth, an agate, and an
  70. amethyst; and the fourth row a ^7 beryl, and an ^1 onyx, and a jasper: they
  71. shall be inclosed in gold in their settings.  And the stones shall be
  72. according to the names of the children of Israel, twelve, according to their
  73. names; like the engravings of a signet, every one according to his name, they
  74. shall be for the twelve tribes.  And thou shalt make upon the breastplate
  75. chains like cords, of wreathen work of pure gold.  And thou shalt make upon
  76. the breastplate two rings of gold, and shalt put the two rings on the two ends
  77. of the breastplate.  And thou shalt put the two wreathen chains of god in the
  78. two rings at the ends of the breastplate.  And the other two ends of the two
  79. wreathen chains thou shalt put on the two settings, and put them on the
  80. shoulder-pieces of the ephod in the forepart thereof.  And thou shalt make two
  81. rings of gold, and thou shalt put them upon the two ends of the breastplate,
  82. upon the edge thereof, which is toward the side of the ephod inward.  And thou
  83. shalt make two rings of gold, and shalt put them on the two shoulder-pieces of
  84. the ephod underneath, in the forepart thereof, close by the coupling thereof,
  85. above the skilfully woven band of the ephod.  And they shall bind the
  86. breastplate by the rings thereof unto the rings of the ephod with a lace of
  87. blue, that it may be upon the skilfully woven band of the ephod, and that the
  88. breastplate be not loosed from the ephod.  And Aaron shall bear the names of
  89. the children of Israel in the breastplate of judgment upon his heart, when he
  90. goeth in unto the holy place, for a memorial before Jehovah continually.  And
  91. thou shalt put in the breastplate of judgment ^8 the Urim and the Thummim; and
  92. they shall be upon Aaron's heart, when he goeth in before Jehovah: and Aaron
  93. shall bear the judgment of the children of Israel upon his heart before
  94. Jehovah continually.

  112.      And thou shalt make the robe of the ephod all of blue.  And ^9 it shall
  113. have a hole for the head in the midst thereof: it shall have a binding of
  114. woven work round about the hole of it, as it were the hole of a coat of mail,
  115. that it be not rent.  And upon the skirts of it thou shalt make pomegranates
  116. of blue, and of purple, and of scarlet, round about the skirts thereof; and
  117. bells of gold between them round about: a golden bell and a pomegranate, a
  118. golden bell and a pomegranate, upon the skirts of the robe round about.  And
  119. it shall be upon Aaron to minister: and the sound thereof shall be heard when
  120. he goeth in unto the holy place before Jehovah, and when he cometh out, that
  121. he die not.

  125.      And thou shalt make a plate of pure gold, and grave upon it, like the
  126. engravings of a signet, Holy to Jehovah.  And thou shalt put it on a lace of
  127. blue, and it shall be upon the ^1 mitre; upon the forefront of the ^1 mitre it
  128. shall be.  And it shall be upon Aaron's forehead, and Aaron shall bear the
  129. iniquity of the holy things, which the children of Israel shall hallow in all
  130. their holy gifts; and it shall be always upon his forehead, that they may be
  131. accepted before Jehovah.  And thou shalt weave the coat in checker work of ^2
  132. fine linen, and thou shalt make a ^1 mitre of ^2 fine linen, and thou shalt
  133. make a girdle, the work of the embroiderer.

  139.      And for Aaron's sons thou shalt make coats, and thou shalt make for them
  140. girdles, and head-tires shalt thou make for them, for glory and for beauty.
  141. And thou shalt put them upon Aaron thy brother, and upon his sons with him,
  142. and shalt anoint them, and ^3 consecrate them, and sanctify them, that they
  143. may minister unto me in the priest's office.  And thou shalt make them linen
  144. breeches to cover the flesh of their nakedness; from the loins even unto the
  145. thighs they shall reach: and they shall be upon Aaron, and upon his sons, when
  146. they go in unto the tent of meeting, or when they come near unto the altar to
  147. minister in the holy place; that they bear not iniquity, and die: it shall be
  148. a statute for ever unto him and unto his seed after him.
